When you join most health clubs, you're given a brief and brisk introduction to their equipment and then left largely to your own devices. We've also noticed that most health clubs lack the personal touch; their receptionists not even so much as acknowledging your presence when you check in, their trainers and instructors treating you as just another job.

Here at Hearts, though, we do things differently. We like to think of ourselves as a club run by ladies, for ladies. Here, everybody knows your name and you're always greeted with a smile. When you join Hearts, you're not only making a significant change to your health and lifestyle, you're also making new friends who you can rely upon to support you at every stage of your programme.

We have a special introductory programme for new members designed to give you a thorough introduction to our varied facilities and to help you to understand just what you wish to achieve with your Hearts membership. Our process begins with a consultation which will, within minutes, tell you what condition your body is really in. You'll learn how much body fat you're carrying, how much visceral fat surrounds your organs and whether either of these issues needs addressing. You'll also learn your metabolic age, which will tell you if your body's older or younger than your years. Finally, we'll be able to tell you if your blood pressure's high or low.

Using these findings, we'll be able to help you to set some powerful goals designed to dramatically improve your health, fitness and general well-being. From the outset, then, we'll know exactly what you're aiming for and will thus always be able to give you the assistance and support you need. Our fitness plans are always designed around your specific needs and your specific goals.

Following the consultation you'll be invited to attend four comprehensive beginners workshops designed to help you to familiarise yourself with the services we offer. We'll give you the Beginner's Guide to Aerobic Fitness Exercise, the Beginner's Guide to Resistance Machines, the Exten for Four Types of Workout and a guide to Fitball Exercises at a Beginner's Level.

We also offer a Seasonal Exercise Workout Programme and a Beginner's Guide to our various classes. This will allow you to sample Power Walking, Aerobics, Body Combat™ and Body Balance™ in a single intensive and fun session. Our workshops are designed to fit around your schedule, so there's no danger at all of missing out.

We'll be with you at every step of your journey to fitness and well-being. After your initial introduction you're free to take periodic review consultations whenever you want. These will help you to recognise your progress so far and perhaps reassess your goals and alter your plan. Everything is included in your membership fees. We also offer 2 week, 4 week and 6 week challenges designed to get you motivated in which you can win various exciting prizes.
